Chess Club
Chess club is back!! Chess is a fascinating game, which can be played and enjoyed at all levels.  Educational research indicates evidence of a strong positive correlation between chess and student academic performance.  The practical application of the skills learned while playing chess are the same skills necessary for academic excellence and lifelong success.

Cooks with Books - REGISTRATION FULL
Join Ms. Blake as this popular class returns to the Woods! Each week a book will be read and then a corresponding recipe will be prepared. Learn how to follow a recipe, measure and mix, crack an egg, use some kitchen gadgets and more! Our first recipe will be donuts!

Science Club  - REGISTRATION FULL
Join WWS Parent Scientists as we explore the many fields of STEAM. Students will have the opportunity to perform experiments and learn how it relates to jobs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and more. Study biology using microscopes, chemical reactions while making ice cream, hone engineering skills while building wooden bridges, and more in this first to be offered experience!

Forest Secrets - REGISTRATION FULL
Discover the magic of nature as you build your own fairy/gnome house.  Learn about forest secrets with stories and hands-on creating. Fairies and gnomes have visited the houses built in past years. Will one visit yours?

Tennis with Marcy’s Tennis Academy
Students will be given the correct foundation to enjoy tennis for life! No matter what the skill level, students will learn the correct way to hit shots and observe  the rules of the game while gaining an extra hour of physical and mental exercise! Junior tennis racket is required and can be purchased from MTA website if needed.

STEM Challenges
Are you interested in being in the next generation of creators and inventors? In our engineering program, students will investigate engaging hands-on weekly challenges such as creating simple machines, building structures, and much more.

**Please note the following important information: 

1. All students must be picked up in the cafeteria at 4:45pm for after school programs. There is NO  transportation. 

2. Participating students should bring an afternoon snack to eat before reporting to their program.  

3. Enrollment is based on a first come, first serve basis until the program is full. Parents will be notified by email if  their child is enrolled in the program. If the course is full, the registration form and funds will be returned.

5. All students will be dismissed from the cafeteria at 4:45pm. Parents must wait outside the cafeteria and sign out  their child. If someone other than the parent is picking up a student, it is essential to communicate this  information.  

6. It is important to arrive on time to pick up your child. 

7. No refunds for absent students.

8. Please note: We will be following Covid safety guidelines developed in consultation with QVHD and our  District medical advisors. All safety precautions will be taken, but please understand that there is always a risk of exposure or quarantine with any activities.
